Another Halloween Party!! :D
Yay!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE Halloween!! :D We got 2 hit up another SUCCESSFUL costume party that was hosted by our Branch. :D We had so much FUN. I was already planning 2 dress up, AGAIN, but I wanted 2 use my 'OLD LADY' look 2 be someone else. In one of my previous posts, you'll notice that I dressed up as 'THELMA' 4rom that show: MOMMA'S FAMILY. This time around I got 2 be 'MADEA GOES 2 JAIL' It was a HIT & everyone thought it was HILLARIOUS!! :D Including me!! Hahahahaha!! Since Hoko wasn't dressing up. . .BOOO. . . .Lol. I decided 2 take his jailburg 'fit & put it on & 'BADA BING. . . .BADA BOOM' Madea Goes 2 Jail was born!! Hahahaha!! And I've made it FINAL 2 the kiddies that next year if they wanna pick what they wanna be. . . .it'll only happen under ONE condition!! That the person/thing they wanna portray has black hair cause their wigs were killing me!! Literally, I'm like dead already!! Hahahaha!! They so cannot pull off the blond hair look!! So not the BIZ!! LMBO!! Anyways, moving onto a lighter note. . . .All of the parents that were in attendance got 2 pick a classroom in the church & decorate it w/all kinds of FUN stuff. Every room LOOKED GREAT!! :D The kids circled the church a GOOD 4 or 5 times before we all ran out of candy!! Lol. They're baskets were pretty much OVERFLOWING w/goodies by the end of the night. :D We got 2 eat some DELICIOUS soup w/french bread before heading back home. All in all. . . .it was a FANTASTIC night!! Had my BESTIES Siu & Lote in attendance so it was all SMILES all NIGHT long!! :D Here are some pics of the night. . . .Enjoy!! :D

We Have The Best Snow On Earth. . . . :D
The snow storm touched down in UT 2day!! And we LOVED it!! As soon as I was done w/my lunch time meeting. . .we ran 2 the store 2 grab some stuff & we came home & Hoko left 2 go put tires on the car while I got the kids ready. As soon as he got back, we headed 2 the park w/our TUBES in hand & stayed there 4 a GOOD hour & a half. :D It was GREAT!! :D The kids LOVED it so much. And then it REALLY started coming down so we had 2 pack it up & walk back home. :D We're so GRATEFUL 4 that hour & a half that we were able 2 be out there. :D It was DEFINITELY a GREAT day 2day. And so much FUN!! I'm finishing up my last conference call of the night & am so EXCITED 2 be persuing my PASSION in life & taking charge of my life as well. :D There's nothing more REWARDING then 2 be able 2 be EXACTLY where I want 2 be, by CHOICE, @ whatever time I want 2 be. I, WILLINGLY, lose sleep 2 persue these GOALS of mine. 2morrow on my 'TO DO' list will be me working on my VISION BOARD. I love it!! :D Quote/Thought 4 today: Make your DREAMS more REAL than your fears. :D

'How Firm A Foundation'
1. How firm a foundation, ye Saints of the Lord,
Is laid for your faith in his excellent word!
What more can he say than to you he hath said,
Who unto the Savior, who unto the Savior,
Who unto the Savior for refuge have fled?
2. In ev'ry condition in sickness in health,
In poverty's vale or abounding in wealth;
At home or abroad, on the land or the sea
As thy days may demand, as thy days may demand,
As thy days may demand, so thy succor shall be.
3. Fear not, I am with thee; oh, be not dismayed,
For I am thy God & will still give thee aid.
I'll strengthen thee, help thee, & cause thee to stand,
Up-held by my righteous, up-held by my righteous
Up-help by my righteous, omnipotent hand.
I love this hymn. We opened up our sacrament meeting w/this selection & it never fails. . . .as soon as we get 2 the 3rd verse, my tears are rolling down my face. It's the 3rd verse that helps me get thru the difficult times that life throws my way. A constant reminder that there is always a LIGHT @ the end of the tunnel. We are living in a very challenging time here on earth & I'm so GRATEFUL 2 have the Gospel in my life 2 lead & direct me in paths that I know may be hard 2 follow willingly. I look around me & am very GRATEFUL 4 families & friends who have stuck by me regardless of my weaknesses. And believe me. . . .I am well aware of my weaknesses & it's a constant work in progress. I have been INDULGING myself in the lives of my kids & have found peace & comfort in doing so. The things that seemed so much overlooked have come 2 bring me such JOY. Little & simple things such as the girls greeting me w/hugs & kisses. . . .baby Hoko asking twice daily 2 take showers, even though he's already taken one. . . .Sila asking 2 go outside & ride her bike in the middle of me cleaning the house or working. . . .Lote asking me 2 teach her how 2 save $$ by reading my MONEY BOOKS, as she refers 2 them, with her. . . .Aaliyah asking me 2 teach her how 2 cook so as 2 calm her curiosity & @ the same time learn a new skill. . . .All these things have become PRIORITY 2 me over cleaning the house & working. I hug them a little longer. . . .I stop whatever I'm doing 2 give baby Hoko numerous showers throughout the day as well as taking Sila outside 2 ride her bike. . . .2morrow I'll be starting one of my 'MONEY BOOKS' w/Lote & we'll both take turns reading 2 each other. . . .my mom & I have involved the kids on our activity 2morrow of making our very 1st laundry detergent. And since the girls are off track. . . .I am taking my workouts outdoor 2 our neighborhood park, which is pretty big I might add, & the older girls will be running laps w/me as well doing as much of P90X as they can handle w/me on a daily. . . .& this is all on their own requests as 2 spend more time 2gether w/me everyday while they're home. :D
No amount of words can EXPRESS how much I love being a MOTHER 2 my children. It is the GREATEST joy of my life. I know of no other thing in this world that can bring one GREATER happiness than this. :D For this, I am ETERNALLY grateful 2 a loving Heavenly Father who has, for some unseen reason, entrusted these beings in my hands. I definitely believe in that saying that goes, "Be the kind of person that when someone leaves your company, they leave feeling better about themselves." This is what kind of feelings I want my children 2 have 4 me. :D It's been quite an EMOTIONAL day 2day, but I'm looking 4ward 2 a very BRIGHT future. :D

'Big Dreams' A Family Book About Reading. . . . .
Pre-K thru 3rd Grade
I want my child to read.
I want my child to have big dreams.
And I want my child's dreams to come true.
How can I help my child learn to read?
I show her that reading matters.
I help her find books she likes.
She sees me read.
We go to the library together.
We write letters to her cousins & spell out all the words.
We read before bed every night.
We spend time together.
We talk a lot.
I talk to her about what we're reading.
She asks me about the world.
I tell her what I know.
I help him hear the sounds in words when we talk.
I help him hear how baby & bubble start w/the same sound.
I help him hear that kitten & mitten rhymes.
He is getting ready to read.
I am helping him.
I help her learn the ABC's.
We start with ant & go all the way to zebra.
ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ.
We look for letters everywhere.
We say their names & the sounds they make.
We practice writing all the letters.
I help her know what words mean.
I teach my children that things have names.
I teach them the colors, the foods we eat.
I teach them the animals & the kinds of weather.
I teach them walk, run, jump, fly.
I teach them is, was & will be.
I help him practice reading.
He reads his favorite book out loud.
I read it too. We take turns.
He reads it over & over. I don't mind.
He reads until the words sound right.
I say, "Great job reading!"
I help him understand what he reads.
I say, "Tell me about the story."
What happened?
Who did what? Why?
How did it end?"
We talk about it.
I say, "What do you think about the story?"
And I listen.
Reading can help our dreams come true.
I show her that reading matters.
We spend time together.
I help him hear the sounds in words when we talk.
I help her learn the ABC's.
I help them know what words mean.
I help him practice reading.
I help him understand what he reads.
So my kindergartener came home w/a letter written by her school's 'Literacy Facilatator' & on the back of it was a copy of the booklet, 'Big Dreams.' I had 2 post this cause I love it so much!! I'm a HUGE fan of reading & am 100% supportive of this booklet. :D There's no other way that I know of that opens up the IMAGINATION & CREATIVE sides of our minds like READING does. :D I wish there were more hours in the day just so that I can READ more. Plus, it's the most economical way 2 accrue more knowledge. :D READING has opened my mind up 2 possibilities I would've thought were impossible 2 reach had I not been able 2 pick up a book & read up on the subject so that it can teach me step by step how 2 accomplish different things. :D I love it so much!! It's definitely my MOST FAVORITE thing 2 do. :D
